Umeraș (Coat hanger) is an installation made mostly from porcelain (thanks Gruni) and one detail, the actual coat hanger, drawn after the opening of the exhibition ← FRAGIL →, and filmed for an online audience. Of course it has to do with the restriction of abortion in Poland, but more-so with the lack of access to abortion in Romania, caused by the overwhelming doctors’ refusals on religious grounds or under COVID unclear regulation. It’s a commentary on the fragility of reproductive rights.
