DARURI/OFFERINGS zine made for the closing of our (LuciAna’s) exhibition at Indecis Artist Run Space
Its sewn pages are filled with materials that build on top of the body of work present in the exhibition. Half journal, half catalogue, it proposes a soft trajectory through peaceful offerings, championing for rest, introspection and sharing (and vegan mashed potatoes) as a way of resistance. It was produced with the help of our friends over at Plan Zero Makerspace. You can purchase one at Balamuc or at future fairs.
We bring you little gifts of peace we’ve found in everyday things: oneself’s liberation from crusty ideas, the little sounds of cracking paper, the small harmonies of working in a studio with a bright yellow table at the center of everything.
We bring you the joy of drawing on found paper, forgiveness and tiredness, and the struggle to remember and praise and sing what was, is and will be.
We bring you community chatter, the whispers and laughter of friendship, the smells of the soups and mashed potatoes of the communal meals, the light of planning for better days, days of rest and enjoyment, holidays. Being of good faith.
We can’t express our gratitude enough for all that helped making the exhibition and the two publications (this zine and an artistx book) as warm, joyous and fulfilling as they are.

This zine was made during LuciAna’s second exhibition ever called Daruri/Offerings, at Indecis Artist Run Space Timișoara, which took place from 26/11/2024 to 31/01/2025.
LuciAna is the artist duo formed by Ana Kun and Lucian Barbu in 2023. We focus on vegan activism, art therapy and other practices connecting to care and liberation. They share a common interest for publishing, especially zine making, while also catering for a small zine archive at Balamuc.
LuciAna would like to offer their gratitude to those who showed their support in setting up, maintaining and taking care of the exhibition, our friends from Indecis (namely Mimi Ciora, Sergiu Sas, Gavril Pop and Flo Fâra), as well as to those that helped putting together its two companions, the “We bring the gift of peace” artist book and this zine. A big thank you to Matrijarsija, Plan Zero Makerspace and the Secret Garden Bookshop for sharing their printing resources. Also, a big thanks to Lore Ilie for the use of a photo of her mashed potato bear cub she made during the Offerings’ Community Dinner which appears on the front cover collage. Lastly, a heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited, attended the events and showed interest in talking/sharing/laughing/eating/listening/being together during the cold season.
