Am făcut acest desen cu gândul la plasticul ce va rămâne din noi, după ce corpul se va degrada – microparticule pentru maxim efect. M-am gândit și la organismele care trăiesc doar pe suprafețele ochiurilor de apă din marea insulă de plastic din oceanul
Pacific. La una dintre primele apocalipse, cauzată de cianobacteriile ce au modificat compoziția atmosferei, introducând o groază de
oxigen. De aici a fost ușor să-mi imaginez apocalipse viitoare, arheologii viitoare. Mă preocupă dezintegrarea (inerentă sau interenționată a) lucrărilor pe care le produc, în cazul acesta am considerat propice degradarea lor biologică. Nu susțin înlocuirea plasticului sintetic cu bioplastic dacă aceasta urmează reducerii drastice a consumului de plastic, de orice fel. Am îngropat aceast desen în apropierea centrului Sepale, după închiderea expoziției.
Desenul de mari dimensiuni realizat de Ana Kun din ambalaje de plastic biodegradabil imaginează, pe de o parte, un fragment supradimensionat al procesului de disoluție: forme, siluete de personaje specifice imageriei artistei se dezintegrează treptat și redevin parte a stratului de compost, iar pe de altă parte articulează un discurs critic: plasticul, chiar și biodegradabil, nu se reintegrează cu totul în circuitul biologic ci persistă ca prezență fosilizată în substratul unei geografii distopice, plasate într-un viitor incert, post-apocaliptic. A-nu-știu-câta apocalipsă scoate la iveală un pat de fosile – creaturi empatice ce au supraviețuit în armonie și prosperitate, plutind pe suprafața oceanului global, metabolizând polimeri cu ajutorul ciupercilor, microbilor, viermilor și bacteriilor musafire. (text însoțitor lucrării)

I’ve made this drawing thinking of the plastic which will remain after the degradation of the body – micro-particles for maxim effect. I’ve also considered the organisms living on the water surface of the great
Pacific garbage patch. To one of the firsts apocalypses, brought upon by cyanobacteria modifying the composition of the atmosphere by adding a lot of
oxygen. From here on it was easy to imagine future apocalypses, future archeology. I’m interested in the disintegration (intentional or not) of the works I produce, in this case I found it fitting to chose a biodegradable option. I don’t support the replacement of synthetic plastic with bio-plastic unless it follows the drastic reduction of all types of plastic. I’ve buried this drawing near the Sepale center after the exhibition ended.
The large drawing by Ana Kun, made from biodegradable plastic bags imagines an over dimensioned fragment of the process of dissolution: shapes, silhouettes from the artists own imagery, which gradually disintegrate and become, once again, part of the layer of compost; on the other hand, her artwork articulates an expostulatory discourse: plastic, even if its biodegradable, is not fully reintegrated in the biological circuit, as it persists as a fossilized occurrence in the sublayers of a dystopic geography, placed in a uncertain future, a post-apocalyptic one. Some future apocalypses reveals a bed of fossils – empathic creatures surviving in harmony and prosperity by floating on the surface of the global ocean, metabolizing polymers with the help of guest mushrooms, microbes, worms and bacteria. (accompanying text)
